Preserve and Manage Natural Resources

Grow Nepal believes sustainable, well-managed organic agriculture better protects the environment for future generations.  Nepal has a wide variety of unique eco-systems which in the past have been well-preserved by the people who live in them.  As the demands of modern life have encroached into the lives of even those who live in more remote areas, traditional systems of sustainable harvesting and cultivation are under threat.   Working with local communities, Grow Nepal works at protecting the bio-diversity of the area through reviving good traditional methods of farming and introducing sustainable and, importantly, cost-effective new methods.

Protect Social and Cultural Traditions through Improved Livelihoods

Protecting social and cultural traditions goes hand-in-hand with protecting the environment.  For example, the traditional growing and use of medicinal herbs can be expanded into an income-generating practice: reviving old traditions and knowledge and providing a livelihood for the younger generations.

Working since 8 years in various District of Far Western, Mid western and Central region of Nepal more then 700 + households were benefited.
