Our project “wild collection” stands for sustainability, fair trading, building connections, and empowering farmers. We want to ensure that the valuable work of individual local farmers of different districts of western Nepal and their high-quality produce of various medicinal and aromatic plants such as Soapberries, is seen, protected, and valued. Nepal has an abundance of very useful and healing plants to offer, which can support a holistic and healthy lifestyle and need to be preserved and shared with the world. Grow Nepal is making a variety of efforts to preserve and support this precious work and products.
Bridging gaps – making connections
Our team is bridging the gaps between these individual farmers and stakeholders through connecting them with national as well as international companies. So that these wonderful products can find their way to the people who need them.
Creating employment opportunities
Through the connections we build with companies and the education we provide about the products, the demand increases and so we are able to create more seasonal jobs, supporting local communities.
Fair & efficient trading
It is very important to us to make sure that farmers and workers receive fair wages and prices for their time and products. Also we are offering technical and logistical support in areas as record keeping and storage.
Sustainability & education
With everything we do we give very high priority to sustainability and protecting nature. Therefore, we are putting great importance on sustainability training and education for farmers – to constantly improve their work and knowledge on farming and harvesting.
With our efforts we want to make an impact on a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle, to a balanced way of living in harmony with nature – through utilizing nature’s wisdom and remarkable resources for the future of humanity and nature.
